Hummingbird Lane
The owners bought the house for one view: Mummy Mountain over the back wall. A conventional raised bond beam would have cut it in half. We built a perimeter-overflow pool instead, so the water edge disappears into a slot trough and the mountain sits directly on the waterline from the kitchen window.
The slope was the hard part. The deep end sits on caissons, and 112 tons of spoil left the site in week one. One change order the whole build: the owners added a gas line reroute for a future fire feature, priced in writing, ten days added, ten days delivered.
